The challenge

Millions of animals are currently in shelters and foster homes awaiting adoption. Design an experience that will help connect people looking for a new pet with the right companion for them. Help an adopter find a pet which matches their lifestyle, considering factors including breed, gender, age, temperament, and health status. Provide a high-level flow and supporting wire frames.

My role

This is a personal project where I gave response to a design exercise.

Background

Nowadays, people's quality of life is improving day by day. In the pursuit of rich material life at the same time, people have also been seeking spiritual sustenance, the way of spiritual sustenance is more and more diversified, no longer limited to partners, friends and other similar people, but will focus on the companion animal.

Understand the problem space

I started the project with the exploration of the problem space by asking a lot of fundamental questions.

"We know pet adopters are different from pet buyer. But what's the difference in motivation between these two user groups?"

"What's the typical pet adoption process?"

My research approach

In order to get answers for the key questions we asked initially,

"We know pet adopters are different from pet buyer. But what's the difference in motivation between these two user groups?"

"What's the typical pet adoption process?"

IP design

Choose different characters based on preferences; the selected character will appear in various interactive elements.

Low fidelity mockups

With a minimalist design, users can clearly understand their tasks and time allocation at a glance, preventing uneven time distribution and incomplete tasks caused by overwhelming complexity.
